The venue

Old Mac Daddy is situated on a working apple farm in the Elgin Valley, approximately an hour from Cape Town. Set among apple orchards and a lake with its own beach, the estate offers a relaxed setting for focused meetings, team building and corporate gatherings.

Our private boardroom accommodates up to 30 delegates in a classroom-style setup or 20 in a boardroom arrangement. The room is equipped with a projector, screen, Smart TV and 40 Mbps Wi-Fi.

Choose a half-day or full-day conference, or extend your stay with overnight accommodation and team-building activities. With catering and meeting facilities available on the estate, your group can spend the day together without needing to travel between venues.

Accommodation

Extend your conference into an overnight team experience. Old Mac Daddy offers 22 accommodation options across the estate, including:

12 individually designed vintage Airstream trailers.
Six Klein Paradys tiny homes.
Daddy’s Villa.
The School House.
Apple Grove.
A tented camp, 10 minutes from the main lodge (4⁠x4 required).

Up to 28 delegates can each have their own room, with additional shared sleeping capacity available for larger groups.

Exclusive use of the estate is available when all accommodation is booked. Where the accommodation is not fully booked, a venue hire fee can secure exclusive use.

Can we host a one-day conference?

Yes. We host half-day and full-day conferences, strategy sessions, workshops and team meetings without overnight accommodation. You can also combine a half-day conference with a half-day team-building activity as part of a one-day booking.

Can we combine our conference with team building?

Yes. Team building can be added to any conference package. Choose from potjiekos competitions, Amazing Race-style challenges, Minute to Win It and other activities designed around your group.

Can we have the estate to ourselves?

Yes. Exclusive use is available when all accommodation is booked. Where the accommodation is not fully booked, a venue hire fee can secure exclusive use.

Can you accommodate halaal and other dietary requirements?

Our meat is sourced from a certified halaal butcher, and our kitchen uses separate utensils, pots and pans for halaal preparation. We are not a strictly certified halaal kitchen. Please discuss your dietary requirements with us when making your enquiry so we can confirm what can be accommodated.
